VCQ is using Zeffy to process registration for the September 5 Virtual Program. Zeffy is designed for nonprofits and helps organizations like VCQ keep registration costs low by offering a platform that does not charge mandatory transaction fees to the organization. During checkout, Zeffy may suggest an optional contribution to support its services; selecting $0 allows your registration to be processed without any additional services fees.

I am passionate about quilting and am grateful to have the opportunity to inspire others. My intent is to educate and enthuse in an atmosphere of fun and support. Students enjoy my relaxed way of teaching and appreciate my encouragement of confidence.
I am so grateful for the opportunities I’ve been given—and with a lot of hard work (and plenty of joy along the way!), I’ve been able to successfully organize, manage, and host Quilt & Textile Tours all over the world. Over the past twelve years, I have welcomed hundreds of travelers on unforgettable journeys, sharing laughter, learning, and memories in places like Ireland, Scotland, England, France, Wales, Iceland, Canada, Italy, Australia, and Japan.

Part I (morning) “Quilt Labels and Documentation” (10am-12pm)
Documentation of your quilt is so important for future generations. Learn to make easy and professional quilt labels and explore additional techniques including, Pigma pen inking, photo transfer, computer generated labels, proper documentation, quilt show entry, copyright and insurance appraisals. Finish your quilt with a hanging sleeve and make a coordinating pillowcase for gift giving and/or storage. Demonstration and preparation of a quilt label.
Part II (afternoon) “My Quilt Top is Finished, Now What?” (1pm-3pm)
Congratulations on finishing your quilt top! You might be wondering, but what comes next? In this engaging and informative lecture, we’ll explore the essential steps to take your quilt from “almost there” to a fully finished masterpiece. Topics include how to choose the right batting and backing fabric, options for basting, tips for deciding between hand quilting, machine quilting, or professional longarm services, and of course, quilt design options. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced quilter, you’ll leave this lecture with actionable tips, expert advice, and renewed confidence to tackle the final steps of your quilting journey!
