If you are really crazy about
the FG unit, you can try this set, using them both in the blocks
and in the border. |
 |
This set breaks the rules about
matching the block grids. It works because it takes advantage
of the optical illusion in the center block of the top row.
This looks like a pebble has been tossed in the lake, giving you
ripples. The larger triangle in the adjacent block just continues
that feeling. |
 |
Another rule breaker - this one
works because the points will match. The border geese units
could be complex to piece but if you start by sewing together the
light and dark strips and cut your starter rectangles from that
strip set, it will go together like any other FG unit. |
 |
Here's another set with a strong
diagonal feel. This one uses fewer geese. If lighter values
are used, the diagonal units will be less pronounced. |
 |
Two different diagonal blocks
are used to create a sort of Double X effect. |
