About Us ~ I started Santa Barbara Quilting Retreats to satisfy my own needs. I wanted to have fun, quilt and enjoy creative experiences with other folks who wanted to do the same. By the way, I’m Cathe Hedrick; I live in Santa Barbara, California and have spent 6 years in a career of event management and planning for our local University. I wondered how I could use this experience in a business of my own. I love to create with paper, paint, or wood, but I really love fabrics, the patterns, colors and I love the thrill of putting together the puzzle of the QUILT. My love of creating experiences that people can really enjoy, inviting inspiring teachers, good facilities, great food and one of the most beautiful places in the world to retreat.
